Here is yet another site for GM&O enthusiasts and one that I hope you will enjoy.  The GM&O's Alton Route was one of my favorite lines and one that I rode very often in the 1960's and on into the AMTRAK era.  I am particularly fond of the GM&O's former passenger operations, which always had a tremendous amount of enduring character.

I have now added material that encompasses the southern Rebel Route freight and passenger operations.  Diesel fans will find that the Diesel Album has been expanded as well.   Most of this material has never been on the web or previously published.   I am aware that many of these pages are slow loading, particularly if you have a older machine or slower modem.  To address this problem, I have added thumbnail galleries which should greatly speed up access to individual photos.   For those with faster modems and current browsers,  I will be adding video clips in the not too distant future.
